In this music video, the camera during the beginning switches from zooming in and out of focus. The video starts in a wintery location and than shows will smith on a airplane headed towards Miami. The concept for this video is to show the beauty of the locale as well as the women of the city of miami. Throughout the video, Will Smith is changing into different clothes as the backgrounds become different as well. While this video is entertaining to watch because it is Will Smith, no revolutionary visual affects are taking place in this video as it was made in the 1990′s. However, I love the song “Miami” and always have, so I decided to do my video music blog about this song. Visually, this video is fun to watch because the video was shot as if will smith is walking from one scene into another so it leaves the viewer wondering what is going to happen next. Being that this is a Will Smith video, there are many beautiful women including Eva Mendez who starred in the movie ” Hitch” with Will Smith. Therefore, I really like this video and this song.

From the opening of the movie, we can see a space like background and the words are coming from the bottom of the screen disappearing upwards. In the first scene we see spaceships fighting in outer space, which demonstrates how it is definetly a science fiction movie. When Darth Vader appears, you automatically know he is evil by his all black suit that he wears. On the other hand, Princess leah is obviously the good one because she is in all white, these are very visual indicators that were done purposefully by the director. The costumes of each character demonstrate their significance to the plot and the backgrounds from where they came.
From the beginning of the movie we see a lot of visual affects with the gunfire. Obviously with all the different costumes for the different characters, there are strong visuals everywhere. There are also different cars that are similar to hovercraft. Than we get introduced to the light saber, which looks similar to a sword except the blade is a laser. One of the most interesting scenes in the movie is when Obe One Konobe and Luke go to a bar in order to find a pilot(Han Solo) and the collection of different creatures and species they stumble on. The costumes for all the different types of creatures is incredible and very unique. One of the intriguing characters is Jaba the Hut who looks like a huge green blob.
The special effects in this movie are unbelievable. The visual scene when the empire’s death star is blowing up the planet Aldaron is a visual masterpiece. The basis for the entire movie is the visuals used in the movie. One of the great visual scenes of the movie is the light saber fight between the darth vader and Obe one konobe, darth’s light saber is red while obe one’s is blue, which has a much more positive connotation attached to it, therefore the movie visually shows who is on the good side and who is on the bad side. The visual effects of one of the last scenes in the movie where the rebel forces blow up the death star happens to also be visually breathtaking.

For this picture I inverted it to give it a really cool look, and I also used the layers technique to give it some extra dynamics.

I increased the hue/saturation to give the picture some color and than dry bushed the picture to give it interesting texture.

I changed the color balance to red to give the picture some red color and brightened the picture using the brightness/contrast technique. I also distorted the picture to give the picture some interesting texture.

In this title sequence for the 1995 James Bond Movie called GoldenEye,the maker of the title sequence Daniel Kleinman does a great job of adding to the James Bond opening legend. As one would expect from a typical James Bond movie, the sequence starts off with a bullet zooming by and than is followed by lots of women. Than we hear visuals of gunshots and and see Bond shooting a gun and a golden eye which obviously references the title of the Movie. The music in the title sequence is kind of eery and mysterious which correlates with the James Bond movie. Throughout the sequence we see symbols referring to guns, women, and deadly weapons. All these are characteristics of a typical James Bond movie. There was a lot of pressure to have a good title sequence for this movie, because GoldenEye was the first movie starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond.

I chose this Ad because I think Audi always has very well done advertisements. I chose this particular ad because of the way it was made. In this photograph, the Audi S8 is driving fast on an open road in the country side. The interesting part of the photograph though is the fact that the car is in perfect clarity while the photographer made the rest of the picture blurry to demonstrate that the Audi is moving fast while still capturing the beauty and elegance of the car. This was likely done by widening the aperture of the camera in order to make the background of the photograph blurry but keep the main part of the ad in focus. Besides the obvious visual effects of the ad, on the bottom left of the page the horsepower as well as the 0-60 time of the Audi S8 is mentioned. Everything that is happening in the ad is meant to demonstrate to the viewer that the Audi is a very sleek, sexy, and powerfully fast car. I believe it was very well done by the people at Audi.

I picked this video because it is one of my favorite ads. In this particular ad for Diet Pepsi Max, the premise behind the ad is the classic Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan movie Night at the Roxbury. More specifically, the famous song from that movie is called ” What is Love” by Haddaway. I immediately loved this ad the first time I saw it during a super bowl because I love that song and the movie. In the movie, the main characters have this thing where they nod their heads to the side when they here “What is Love”. So Pepsi cleverly integrated this concept into their advertisement for their new product Pepsi Max. In this ad people are shown at different occupations or activities like being at a movie theater. Everyone is falling asleep while “What is Love” is playing in the background. All of a sudden everyone drinks the New Diet Pepsi max which according to the ad has more ginseng and caffeine and everyone begins to nod their head like they did in “Night at the Roxbury”. During the commercials there are a few famous celebrities and than at the end of the commercial Chris Kattan is shown angry because everyone is doing the head nod that he made famous in the 1990′s.
Overall, I think the Advertisement was really well done because they clearly showed what the product was that they were trying to sell as well as the impact it had once people used it. They were also very creative in the way they used many different settings and locations throughout the Ad. The ad starts off with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman commenting on the Super Bowl which immediately brings in the viewer because the ad was run during the game. Therefore, I really like this ad and it is one of my favorite ads of all time.

This Photo essay portrays two people who at first sight fall in love. With each picture, we can see their feelings get stronger for each other. In the first photograph they are on opposite sides of the couch, however they come closer together with each progressing slide. This demonstrates their sudden attraction for each other as expressed by the final slide. In the final slide, their love is finally embraced when they make contact with each other. Therefore, this is a story about love at first sight.
